Again I fail as a blogger (even though I really only have one reader).

Twilight was pretty good. I heard a lot of people complain about it, but I went into it thinking "its not going to be as good as the book" and I tried to enjoy it that way. It worked. It wasn't as good as the book, but I don't think that amazingness can be portrayed in a two hour movie. I also hear people saying they liked it better the second time they saw it, which I'll be doing this coming weekend (as long as my mom finishes the book). I'll have a full review after I see it again.
Other exciting Twilight news... New Moon is officially going to happen. I think that it could be even better then Twilight. It will probably have a bigger budget, werewolves, and my favorite scene of all the books. I just hope they do the Italy scenes as exact to the book as possible.

The potluck was lots of fun. I contributed sweet potato fries and my rice crispy treats, which Tony has dubbed Chels-crispy treats. It was really cool to just hang out with everyone from church. No one ever stayed in the same place for long, which meant for lots of mingling. Let's just say that College group is much better than high school group.

The only disappointing news for this post is that I forgot my camera all weekend. So I have no midnight premiere pics or potluck pics. Again, I fail as a blogger.

Well, since I only have one more day with the PPS notebook, I better go get writing and decorating. And I need to start writing the "better sisterhood" script so we can be famous and travel to Greece!

Much Love.

This week has been insane. I've been working on my biology video for the last two days, and I finally finished it about an hour ago. And I finished my English paper this morning.
I was so sick to my stomach last night I couldn't sleep. I was still pretty sick this morning, so I didn't go to school at all today. I am feeling much better now. And its a good thing because there are only Hours left until the Twilight premiere, and I have to be able to make it to that.
I got David Cook's cd yesterday. Let me just say that its as amazing as I expected it to be. My favorite song has got to be 'Come back to Me.' You should definately check it out.
Analeigh didn't win America's Next Top Model tonight, of course. Still making David Cook, Kelly Clarkson, and Caridee are the only reality show winners that I actually was hoping for.

The next few days will be pretty hectic. I have Twilight tomorrow and the college group Thanksgiving potluck Friday night. I'll have pics and updates this weekend!
Here are some pictures I promised.

This is the black dress that I bought for my mom's nurse of the year dinner.

My mom and me about to leave for the dinner. And let me just say, this was the second best hair day of my life.

And this is Flomar. My sister got a panda, dressed him in karate clothes, and named him Mr.Tom Tom Frecklemiester...

I would put more, but I really didn't take any other pictures.

So I guess it is officially the 15th, but let's just pretend it's still my birthday. Today was lots of fun. Mom and I went to see Changeling. It was intense and really good, but it was really long. Then we picked up Emily and went to Fashion Show Mall where we spent lots of hours and dollars. Then when we were done there we went out to eat at Macayo's (this makes three birthdays in a row where I've eaten there, can you tell its my favorite?)Now I'm at home, needing to go to bed, but still too hyped up.
I got lots of fun things today.
I got a black dress to wear to my mom's nurse of the year dinner tomorrow night.
Then Emily and I got a couple of cute outfits at Forever 21.
I got the Twilight Calendar I've been dying for, and of course the complete Twilight movie guide.
We also went to Build A Bear, where I got a dog and named it Flomar (it means warm furry friend in Martian :D). I also got a littler dog for the elderly Christmas tree program my dad's work does.

It all made for a great New version of Chelsea Birthday Gift day, since the original version probably won't be happening anymore.

I'll try to have lots of picutres and fun stuff in the next two days blogs from my birthday and the nurse of the year dinner.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes!

I hoped for one interesting thing to happen today so that this blog wouldn't be an endless sea of boredom, and my wish was granted. I still felt pretty crappy this morning so I only went to two of my classes. When I got home Emily and I watched the O.C. and on commercials we were listening to the radio to try to win tickets to the advanced screening of Twilight (once again I missed it by minutes). Then the radio played "Gives You Hell" by the All-American Rejects (a song I greatly enjoy) and the radio DJ says that their cd will be out next Tuesday. Being the music junkie/AAR fan that I am, I knew that their cd release date got moved back to December 16th. I decided this was how I was gonna get my Twilight tickets.
I called, and the the phone rang endlessly, but they finally answered. This is how it went:

"Mix"
"Hey I just wanted to let you know that the All-American Rejects' cd doesn't come until December 16th"
"Are you sure?"
"I'm positive. We were just on their myspace."
"I was just on their website a week ago" -- in a kind of whiney voice.
"So since I caught that, do you think I could get two free tickets to Twilight?"
"No. But nice try" --without hesitation

So I didn't think this was going to go on the radio, or at least not the whole thing, but then they played it right afterward. The whole thing. Emily and I couldn't stop laughing for a long time. It was quite exciting to have my voice on the radio, and to correct a DJ on air.

I also want to add that the change in release date has been in effect for longer than a week, and please don't ask how I know or why I keep track of these bands so closely.

So still no Twilight tickets, but one of the coolest funniest moments of my life.

In other random and slightly less exciting news...
We've been watching Zorba the Greek in English because we have to write a 3-5 page paper on it. And let me tell you, it has become my favorite black and white movie (even though I'm not sure I've seen any other all black and white movies). Its kind of funny, but in a way that I don't think it was trying to be funny. It also had its sad moments. But I thought I'd share the ending seen with you since I found it on youtube. The best line in this scene is "Boss, I have so much to tell you. I've never loved a man more than you." That got us all laughing.
Enjoy!

Okay, so its late on a Tuesday night (basically Wednesday morning) and I should be getting ready for bed since I have a full day of school tomorrow, but who wants to do that when I could be blogging in my brand new blog.
So there are several reasons I decided to start this blog.
  1. I read several blogs daily, and several more blogs weekly and it seems like a lot of fun, and also like everyone else is doing it so I should too.
  2. As an aspiring author, I thought this would be a good way to get in some writing several days a week.
  3. Now that I am in college, I am making friends from other places and my best friend left for school out of state. I see this blog as a way for them to keep up with me no matter where any of us are.

I'm sure there are more reasons I had previously in my head, but those seem adequate enough.

On to news for the day... I got nothing done. I woke up late, my typical Tuesday morning ritual. I had my usual breakfast of wheat free waffles and finished my fourth round with Twilight. I went to Best Buy with my dad to point out a few gifts I want for my rapidly approaching birthday. And then crashed. Stomach pain left me in bed the rest of the day, leaving me missing church and watching way too much 90210.

And as many might know of me, sitting idle for too long makes for decisions made in boredom (see this blog for example).

Here's hoping tomorrow is better and more fulfilling. And also my returned Spanish grade isn't one that will make me want to drop out of school and forever mooch of of my parents.
